Protected by it's trees that bare the monumental status, the cannot be demolished by the city council. And every month something new is added to the by some creative project. The belongs to us all now and I hope it will continue to grow and becomes the best thing Emmen has to offer. As time goes on it's clear Emmen continues it's attempt to bleed the park. Lacking maintenance, parts now get demolished due to safety concerns. It's a process of attrition that will allow them to destroy the piece by piece. Meanwhile the former Aquarena waterpark remains untouched. Although denied before, it seems the pettingzoo has reached its financial conclusion. Lacking sufficient gifts from visitors and probably a lot other factors, yet another element of the Rensenpark is lost to us. The bleeding continues. A very nice place ,not too crowded where you can relax and walk.is looking very good and you can see somebody take care .i give 4 stars just because they could do more and open the island ...may be build a new bridge...add water and may be some boats.Overal is very nice place. From a 80-year-old zoo to a cultural for everyone. It takes quite the transformation and will be in development for the upcoming years. But when you get there, you can feel the history in this by looking at the trees and seeing the old habits of the animals that once lived there. Beside the walk trough nature, there are also events hosted throughout the year, and you have the ability to visit several creative places for example The Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art or the maybe just the City Farm. It is a great place to relax with your children partner or just alone to empty your mind and enjoy nature with its fresh air. I love the so much, I have been walking it 3 times a day for the last 6 months ♥️ Once a great zoo, now a beautiful large and quite park! I take the kids here to play and walk around. In the summer there is a fantastic place to quietly sit with your laptop while you overlook a large playground and field for the kids to play! It is also very popular for anybody that still plays Pokémon GO.
