I just had a great vacation at Casa Hortopan! Everything was amazing - the location, the host, the services. Very pleased by the services and facilities offered - SPA area, tasty and varied breakfast, possibility to prepare meal by yourself, clean rooms and very, very welcoming hosts! Really hard work to keep the place at high rate! Access to fully equipped kitchen, barbecue area, Jacuzzi, bikes for rent, kids playground, big yard to rest - everything very clean and with good taste! If I visit Gorj county again, I will definitely choose the same location! It is a really lovely place, it has a massive garden with traditional sitting areas outside. The inside of the place is just amazing. It is located in a nice quiet area with a great view of the mountains or the town. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. You feel like at home straight away. Definitely recommend this place. Ok, humongous breakfasts so large it was impossible for us to eat it all. Absolutely beautiful though, so much effort put in. All the rooms were gorgeous, all with their own bathroom, tv and balcony, and mini bars. Free wifi. Plenty of space in your room to lay out or hang up everything. I found the whole place to be exceptionally clean. Our rooms were serviced most days. Looking at prices they as far as I can see are undercharged. Basically to stay there for a week would be cheaper than the equivalent of a unit in Sydney. Great amenities for the kids with a jacuzzi that can double as a pool for the kids. I think though that a blow up paddling pool would be even better. I recommend having a car whilst there or using the local taxi service which is reasonable. We loved it there! Having the hosts round so much was a little unsettling at first but they were lovely people, all family run. We will definitely stay there again, it will give us a chance to explore their region more. Loved everything, recommend highly!! Best place to be!
