Nice 1/2 hour along the rails and coast of Bray and Gretstones. Usually busy enough. Some paths are very narrow, usually fit one or two. Beware that some walls/fences are loose or low so be careful with animals and children. Relaxing and mostly even ground. Ok for bikes For me it's one of the best in the South Dublin and Wicklow area! It's six and a half kilometers from start to end, eight if you want to onto the Dart station and get the train back. It starts with a steep climb up to Bray Head with superb views looking back towards Bray seafront. Then there is a alternating rocky and natural path generally well maintained, (with scenic views) that hugs the cliffs for three kilometers or so (it narrows in parts) overlooking the train line and rugged seashore. After Greystones comes into view it veers slightly inland then follows a path that splits a field before winding its way into Greystones via a housing development. If you only have time to a section of it, the part out of Bray is certainly more interesting but note this can be wet with puddles (even in summer) and also tough on feet. So good footwear is advised! I just love doing this walk, the scenery is just gorgeous. The trail is not physically demanding but it's long, around 8km. I recommend comfortable shoes and doing it before you have lunch. I think going from Bray to Greystones is better than the other way around because the best view will be on front of you instead of your back. My absolute favourite in Dublin ☀️ it’s about 6km cliff between Bray to Greystones, which takes about 1.5 hours to complete. Very nice scenery with water view, greenery and even sheep if you are lucky 🐑 The itself mainly consists of rather narrow pathway surrounded by a fence, circling the bay. But there are couple of side ladders during the to climb higher and see the flower fields. You can expect some crowd during the weekends if the weather is nice. We have done this outing as a family. with three children... and the truth is that we all liked the great ride. It has lasted all day. but it has been worth all the effort of walking up and down the trail. In addition, we have found cows, horses, sheep and the children happy to go for a walk. amazing views. Of course we will return, it is ideal to spend a great time with family, friends or alone. just enjoy the day the moment nature. Ireland is so beautiful. 6.5km along the coastal, you will love the scenery and the way. It may take 2hrs but you will never feel tired. Path is well maintained, kids also can enjoy. I started from Bray station, took 2hrs to reach Greystones. Have lunch at Bray near beach, there are good options available. If you are with family, so many activities are there near Bray beach. Impressive views and great family time. The itself is relatively easy although it is quite long and may be boring for small kids - especially the part between south end of the cliff and Greystones as the path goes through fields and has fence on both sides. I wouldn't recommend it for wheelchairs or parents with buggies as there are few places with stairs and some other with bumps and rocks however if started from Bray you can easily do half of it on the wheelchair or with buggy and then return. The cliff and path is on the east side so sunlight is to be expected in the morning and early afternoon. Stunning views! If you start from Greystones, the is closed at ~4.0km but there is a hole in the fence next to the gate. If you cross it, you'll ~1km further, and there will be another gate that I don't recommend going through. If you want to go from Greystones to Brey, there is a path leading up at ~ 3km.
