Amazing experience - the Bencina family welcomed us into their estate as if we were one of their own. They were incredibly warm and kind. We loved their and would absolutely visit again. Hvala!! It was an amazing experience! We did the degustation with the owners wife and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so sweet and explained everything as well as she could! This was the best we had in Slovenia and the local food and cheese we had (we are vegetarians) was also delicious - the hors d’ouvers were delicious, so was the traditional ravioli. We were served sparkling at the fountain and we could pour our own from the tanks! A fabulous experience! We really had a great time, thanks to the excellent wine, food and the enthusiasm of our hostess. Visited today and had the most beautiful time!! You can just tell how much care and love this family puts into their delicious wines. We were there for over 2 hours tasting, eating and chatting with them. Thank you so much for having us - I strongly recommend a visit! Great experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We arranged a last minute appointment to visit the winery on Saturday afternoon: they hosted in the best way as possible. They have a "magic" red funtain that is really funny to see, but good to taste 😉 Then we tasted all the wines they produce, both from stainless steel containers and wood barriques. What we didn't expect was the amount of delicious food they prepared for us. By the way: great wines and our favourites were Pinot Noir and Barbera (really....great Barbera!!!). They have a good balance among grape variety and wood taste. We warmly suggest to contact them and taste their products. We were welcomed by the most friendly couple ever. We got the chance to taste a lot of their wines and they made an amazing cheese & prosciutto platter for us. Would definitely recommend! We got a tour from the very passionate owner, super interesting. We tasted many different wines and they were exceptional. This winery is a must! We had a wonderful tour and the family were very welcoming. The food and was top quality and would so was the hospitality. Very lovely tasting experience. The small sir René was an excellent guide, and translated everything to his best ability. Would recommend visiting this domain in your travels!
