(Well, I was accompanied by a great person. so this made the experience even nicer! 😇) This lakeside inn specializes in traditional Hungarian dishes and it is a local favorite - so reserve a table and arrive on time. The 30 minute drive up into the hills from Budapest’s castle district is well worth the trip for the crispy fish appetizer, the strawberry soup (on the Hungarian menu, but not the English translation), the grilled turkey breast with vegetables with the fresh dill sauce or the nicely-plated fish & chips on the fish-shaped platter. We waited for more than a half hour for our food, which would not be a problem if they used this time for preparing fresh and quality of food as there was far not full house in the restaurant. However, grilled vegetables were burnt and its portion was terribly small. Potatoes were like half of it so-so okay, the other half was like the rest from some previous guest’s plate, old and salty. Meat (pork) was gristly. Price-value rate is very far from acceptable. The only positive aspect is the beautiful environment, the closeness of the lake.
