Small yet very organized museum, with a comprehensive collection of artifacts and militaria, dug from the nearby battlefields over the years. A good place to understand the final months of WWII. Do not miss the 15-20 minutes vídeo, which provides some relevant historical information and context. Parking can be challenging, but is worth the effort. A lot of a surprise coming round the corner to be confronted by a Tiger II or King Tiger tank. This was at the front of the museum. Only 9 euros entrance so not too bad. Lots of exhibits from the the battles that happened in that actual locations.The Nazis left some 130 plus vehicles tanks and half tracks in Stoumont / La Gleize where Pepier was finally halted - he ran out of fuel with the Americans breathing down his neck. King Tiger 231 was damaged (RH Trackside) and had to be left (notice the final minor damage). It is a great museum, altough much of the items are German. Fascinating to see all those items who survived the war. There is a story to tell trough these items. Verry special is to see the tank parked outside. The,entree fee is a little steep, for familys with €10 for a adult. The isn't big, but its worhwile a visit. Really interesting museum, lots of local information about the battle of the bulge, The King Tiger is a must to see Amazing to see the King Tiger in the same spot it was left be the Germans. Really interesting and surprisingly large museum. Lots of stuff recovered from the intensive battle in and around the village. Small owner run place who was very friendly and interesting to chat to. Some items are for sale and my son bought an iron Cross for his collection. Nice, dignified and peacefull place in Ardens. The only one piece of King Tiger tank 2 exposed in Europe (except a Brtish in London). Recomend to visit👍 We visited on a weekday in Jul 2023. Drove from Brussels to Bastogne and the drive was pleasant and beautiful scenary along the way. We arrived in a small beautiful town and Dec 44 was just situated next to a lovely church. There are no quene and the was operated by a single old man. We spent around 2hrs visiting the all by ourselves without any other visitors. Lovely place out from the city. tells the story of the battle of the bulge in depth. as a visitor from america i appreciated the english translation. the displays were well put together and the staff was very helpful. parking is limited as the streets are narrow. the setting was beautiful and price for admission is comparable to other military museums. if you follow the traces of war then this is a must(even if you are not i recommend visiting). the king tiger that sits out front of the entrance is incredible. there is no eatery with some other museums but there are plenty of local eateries nearby A friendly host and his superb private displaying the fierce battle having taken place only one human life span ago. Well done for upkeeping the memory of these dark times of our common history! The German Big Cat keeping guard at the entrance was a real experience. The artifacts displayed portray a part of our past, that have more or less been erased from the German side of the border. But why so? Remembering our past is the best way to prevent repeating our ancestors' mistakes. In short, thus is a must-go site for war history aficionados.
