Incredible collection and story-telling of Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen during WW1 on the Western Front, and of particular relevance to the liberation of Villers Brettoneux. This museum shows the respect and camaraderie between Australia and France from their shared experience of defence of France from WWI. This is a must visit for every Australian It showcases the Australian efforts to retake and defend the town of Villers Brettoneux during World War 1 and the friendship that resulted An emotional place for an Aussies that revere the actions of our WWI diggers. A place where you can feel that the loss of life was not for nothing. This place moved me. Thankyou for the curator for letting us though on a day it was closed to the public. I meant a lot to us. This is a wonderful small museum inside the primary school which has strong connections to Robinvale in Victoria. It reflects the true and very deep and lasting Franco- Australian connection which exists. Well worth a visit. Going to Villers-Bretonneux ,Musee Franco -Australien is a must, plenty of memorabilia of ww1 and ww2 . The Victoria school is right there as well.
