Lovely Forrest for walking and cycling with wide marked tracks and smaller ones to explore. Mountin bike and pump tracks, adventure playground, car park, cafe and visitor centre with cafe and superb views of the countryside and wildlife. Our first visit to Rushmere Country was such a wonderful experience! We grabbed a coffee and set off on a relaxed walk through the park. There are plenty of well-maintained trails 👣 winding through beautiful woodlands 🌳 — the shade was perfect on a warm day. We stopped by the lovely lake, where we even spotted a turtle 🐢 and enjoyed sitting by the water for a while. There are also cycling trails 🚲 and lots of scenic deck viewpoints offering breathtaking views. You can take it all in with a cup of coffee or just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Facilities are too — more toilets, a café, and a children’s playground are located near the main car park, and there are kiosks and additional toilets around the park. Parking was easy to find 🚗 (£7 for over 3 hours), and it felt worth every penny. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable day, and we’ll definitely be visiting again soon! A beautiful place for a shaded walk under the canopy created by the variety of trees, accompanied by the wonderful smells of pine trees and all things woodland. After exploring one small part of the woodland we went to the Tree tops cafe for a much needed coffee, sat out on the balcony overlooking the Heron lookout, it was so relaxing, peaceful and is a stunning place. The place was for shaded walks and a lot of beautiful trees, the food was abd affordable, the staff was very kind, Rushmere Country is an outstanding place and easily deserving of five stars. The is beautifully maintained, with a mix of woodland, open spaces, lakes, and well-marked trails that suit both gentle walks and longer rambles. Every visit feels calm and restorative, regardless of the season. Facilities are thoughtfully done, from clear signage to clean paths and well-placed benches that invite you to stop and take in the surroundings. It is ideal for families, dog walkers, runners, or anyone looking to spend quality time outdoors. Overall, Rushmere Country offers a perfect balance of nature, accessibility, and tranquillity. It was a very hot Thursday, but we kept cool under the shade of the trees and by the lake. There are two sites to explore, and each offers a different experience. It was to sit in the treetop cafe, drinking coffee, with a nice slice of coffee and walnut cake. My mother and I had no problem getting around, even though she was in a wheelchair. The deck area is a really nice place to sit and have a drink although the staff in the visitors centre made us feel like an inconvenience when we tried to buy an ice cream, they could barely take their eyes off their phone while serving us.
