We went to this restaurant in purpose after our hike to the Plötz Watterfall and it was totally worth it. The staff is very friendly and speak English. The schnitzels are from another planet! We had 3 varieties and all were very tasty and tender, one of my friends cannot eat pork so she had the version of a Swiss schnitzel but with turkey and no sauce, just melted cheese and filled with topfen cheese, also tasty. They accept only cash payments but there is an ATM next to the restaurant in case you don’t have any cash. I highly recommend this place for another variety of schnitzels and good ambient in that pretty little town, totally worth the hike! Very good Schnitzel! We tried Wiener, Schweizer, Paradis and griechischer Schnitzel and they were all very tasty. The portions are huge. The service could have been a little bit better. The waiter could have been more polite and friendly, but overall it was a good experience. If you’re holidaying in Austria, or if you live there, DO NOT visit this restaurant, they’re not worth your time, effort or money, unless you like rude staff who have no idea when their own kitchen closes! We visited on 3 consecutive days, at different times each day, each time it wasn’t very busy, once at 8:30 once at 8 and the last at 7:30, and every time the kitchen was closed! But to be even more insulting, after waiting almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by one of the 3 people behind the bar, we were told sorry the kitchen closes at 8. The time was 7:50. Scroll on past and find another one of the many great restaurants in the area that are happy to see you! Love this place. The atmosphere, the enviroment, and the food is just out of this world.
