Best opplevelse i Oslo Was shocked to visit this beloved, beautiful place today and find the prices have risen to 400,-! Sadly too expensive for me for a once off visit for a small and two saunas. Especially having to buy another arm band having left mine at home. A real shame about the jacuzzi being out of service for so long also. The showers are in need of a really deep clean. Baby swimming for my son… super place, clean, mervellous trainer (thank u Linda)… top A membership is pricey for sure. But that means less people, which is critical for a this size. There aren’t a lot of options in Oslo and this is the best one I could find in the center. The vibe feel old school and calm, as opposed to the booming music crowd found in most gyms in the area. Sinnsro. Kvalitet. Klasse. En oase midt i byen. To start off with the good things: - The is very well maintained and USED to have a 30s aesthetic to it. - The hot tub feels very luxurious - SOME staff are very will mannered and well trained - The saunas are great! Now, the things that frankly left a bad taste in my mouth: - one bad experience I had is when a new staff member doubted my membership and very passive-aggressively asked for my name and took my wristband for about 30 minutes (I’m not sure what she was doing!!). She stated she knew all the members as the reason for the search but apparently she didn’t know me? Very disappointed. - As of last month new, frankly tacky pieces of furniture have been added, completely ruining the aesthetic. - The main pools’ temperature greatly fluctuates at times and goes from 32-27 degrees centigrade? Why? - The hot tub requires automatic cleaning every 10 minutes, for 10 minutes. - They manage to lose contracts and emails, and due to their inability to competently archive these legal documents, many members have unknowingly been charged without valid contracts, the staff stating that it is THEIR responsibility to keep a peice of paper for years. It is due to these reasons that Bislet Bad & Trening received a 1 star review IF YOU ARE READING THIS DO NOT BUY A MEIP Fantastisk sted, Marius i resepsjonen er veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom! Excellent “spa” day with my group of girlfriends. Drop in only 350kr! Elegant yet down to earth interior design- whether it be the waiting room outside the changing rooms, to changing rooms with classic ikonic wooden chairs equipped with hair dryer etc; to the all the lounge spaces outside each spa offering- heated swimming pool/ jacuzzi/ sauna (two types). And they had a cold dunk to cool off with/shower. I loved the cold dunk since their sauna was able to be excellently hot! When we went it was not too busy at all a quite perfect. Check out their time schedule- we were there from 14:00-17:00. At 15:45 ish there were only 2 other people in the and the jacuzzi was empty- we could use it whenever- perfect for a group of 6 of us. On the upside, it is a cosy/tidy/nice place to spent time for relaxation and tranquility… On the downside, it is pretty expensive for what it is especially the jacuzzi was out or service at the time of visit (Feb. 2023) and wet sauna was problematic… yet Bislet Bad charges 350 NOK! Let me preface this by saying I used to love this place. It’s a classic, tiny with a 30s look but well maintained. That being said, it changed owners some years back and they cranked prices though the roof. What was a ok local public bath is now a completely ludicrousy pricey “premium” gym. You want to drop in for a swim it’s now 350kr. Even a “klippekort” is super expensive with a price per visit around 275NOK. If you go for a membership and visit 3 days a week you can push the average price down under 200 NOK. Sure you get “all access” to the whole gym, but there are plenty of gyms in the same area, some with a no-binding monthly price matching a single drop in ticket at Bislet Bad og trening. For me and many others, the is the only thing of interest here and they’ve managed to make it inaccessible to most people living in the area. Bislet Bad og Trening is completely overpriced and not worth the price place to take a rest, staffs are super nice. Highly recommended! Very location, very clean, atmosphere, good opportunities to swim and jack should become employee of the year atmosphere and not crowded. Old-fashioned in a niceway. There are 2 saunas and a bubble and the bigger pool. Used to be fantastic here but it’s now unbelievably overpriced for the average person/family considering the jacuzzi has been out of service for 1,5 years and the small saunas are often full. The communication and attitude of the staff there is poor. Got the impression that they are only focused on affluent customers, this was never the case before with previous staff members. Such a shame.
