Definitely a classic among the Luleå recreational areas and beaches - and the one and only true 'city beach'. It's a shame that pretty much every year in early summer, when the school is out, the (very much unofficial) student parties turn the place to a mess with broken glass and other junk. If you are in Lulea, it is worth to walk to this nice and quiet spot. The sunset view is something to remember. I didn’t imagine that I could find a like that in Lulea. That place is very relaxing and there are many things you can do to enjoy your time there (a bbq for example). Also the rest of the park is awesome, everything’s perfect there, so I raccomend you this place Amazing place to see northern lights 💚💚 Cozy little beach. There is also a bbq fireplace. The is shallow for a decent stretch - quite good for kids and low key swimmers. Water is perfect temperature too, ofcourse it depends upon the day and sun. A nice place to visit on summer days, A beach, a big garden and path to walk around in woods. No direct bus so one has to walk from smedjan till here which is quite a long walk. So recommend to take car as there is parking near the entrance of place. The parking is plenty on the side of road. No shops around or nearby except pizza place around 800 meters or so and a restaurant on place , so take your own water, food if you want to spend a whole day. Plenty of bins to throw rubbish. Also has very nice place for children to play and exercise. All in all one of the best places in Luleå for family outing. Amazing sunset views in the long summer days. Golden hour lasts for about 4 hours and they are perfectly captured here. There is a walking trail that follows the shore and it is completely free. Can’t beat it!
