Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Slightly abrasive service at this cave, the local bubbly (Grand Reserve 2017) is dry and quite drinkable but slightly more expensive than its supermarket equivalents. The chateau is not visible nor visitable from the cave, the is 5€. Okay. PRO'S: We stopped at Chateau Moncontour for a fun and found a explaining old making techniques. CON'S: The single person in the room only spoke French and there are no English signs in the museum. SUMMARY: This was an enjoyable stop but not a necessity. Absolutely wonderful, so interesting. The is really informative and well laid out. So many great artefacts, photos and the English brochure was really useful. Lovely and the host was so welcoming. Came away with 4 bottles to carry back to our motorhome! Fabulous museum, most interesting then an awesome where we bought 3 bottles to take back on our bicycles, liked the Vouvray Les Grenouilles that much went back and bought another 6 👍 definitely worth a visit if in Vouvray or surrounding area 😀 The reception at this place is terrible, the man at the front is rude and unhelpful. The is pointless, barely any information and frankly should be free. The is sub par, and because on top of that the service is horrendous, I sincerely advise against visiting. There are much better small scale producers with better and better service. Great with terrific quality Vouvray wines. The is fascinating as well. Jose was fun too! This was the worst winery we visited in the area. The staff was EXTREMELY rude and seemed mad we were even there. Nowhere else treated us so poorly. The was fine but it is weird they make you go into it in order to taste wine. The was good. Only reason it gets more than 1 star. Wow! We absolutely loved our and visit! Great collection of historical memorabilia and very educational. The woman that helped us (wish I knew her name) was the BEST! She spoke English and was extremely informative. She was very helpful and even assisted in helping us find a local restaurant for dinner. I hope this message gets to her so she knows how much we appreciated her!
