A very tourist office who provided a useful map of the full of information. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They made my trip to the Loire Valley. The day long mini bus trip to the chateaux was very well done. You know you're going to get a good tour when they go so far as to name the after them. What a shock ten world class chateaux near Tours and not!! one tour available..no shuttle bus no guides no normal bus..nothing nothing...the chateaux need to hire their OWN shuttles..disgrace. you need a car or a byclyce.. I took the train but that is only for chenonceau or amboise and walk to entrance. Bordeaux much better organised. The ladies were very helpful, thanks Excellent 👍 They even speak English. Friendly staff and very helpful. Excellent service from Marie-Ann and the team! They provided exceptional service in booking a hot air balloon ride for us which was so wonderful! As we don’t speak French we weren’t sure of all the details but the Tourist Office team went out of their way to help. We had a fantastic experience. I also asked a question via the Facebook chat about Parcours Lumiere and this was answered clearly by Sylvie. Thank you so much. Dimitri is a terrific host and guide. Very good English, surprisingly great Spanish as well we found out! We enjoyed our tour immensely with Dimitri. he has a good sense of humor, gave us enough time to explore on our own. I went there to buy some souvenirs for friends, they have them organized and varied. There are good things compared to other places in the center. Also the people who work there are polite and willing to help. Don't hesitate to go there and find something to remember that beautiful for the rest of your life. Enjoy Tours. Great information that I read through! But the girls at the desk didn't acknowledge me at all. I worked in tourism for 2 years and would always say hello to a visitor and try to make them feel welcome. I didn't get this kind of treatment from the tourist office in Tours. Wonderful staff who were eager to help Tours completely destroyed my opinion about the by the absolute lack of parking space. I stayed 3 nights in the city. The hotel (Hilton brand) offered no parking. I had to cruise the to find the spot. I noticed many other drivers doing the same. On each day I finally found free space far away from my hotel. Extreme case, on Friday evening I spent 30 minutes cruising (losing fuel and spoiling the atmosphere) and I found the space 1 km from my hotel. Incredible pity. Otherwise the is so nice, but I will always remember my frustration. Staff were super helpful, got us booked with a trip that fit within our tight schedule on short notice Very helpful.
