National Museum of Mexican Art
Chicago, United States Art museum
Ideal for art lovers, families, students, and anyone wanting Chicago beyond the usual downtown museums. A compact two-hour visit, so skip it if you want a full-day mega-museum. Reachable directly by the Pink Line. Plan about 1.5 to 2 hours; it is small but rich. Take the Pink Line, which stops nearby. Sign in at a kiosk on arrival. Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Visit in autumn for the Día de los Muertos exhibit.
