Castle Clinton is a worthwhile visit for history buffs and those exploring Battery Park. While small, it offers a quick and free historical diversion with pleasant views. Consider it as a stop on your way to the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. Entrance is free, but tours and tickets for ferries to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are available here. Expect security checks. Weekday mornings are generally less crowded.
