Pioneer Courthouse Square is a must-visit for its central location and event offerings. While it can be crowded, it provides a unique Portland experience. Visit during events or festivals for an enhanced experience, or during off-peak times for a more relaxed visit. Check the event schedule beforehand to plan your visit accordingly. Be aware that the square can be crowded during events, and be mindful of your belongings. There is a weather machine that plays music between 11-11:30 am most days. Winterlight Festival is highly recommended during February.
