Lovely for a nice relaxing or bike ride. Will definitely be visiting again. Car park does need to be paid but very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit. Also they have Segway there which was brilliant. We just walked in to the walks. Just a expensive car park. No toilets, no playground. No Picnic areas I could see. Not for familys then. Such a beautiful woods. Loads of open spaces for the kids to burn off some energy. It has open areas and picnic benches should you want to enjoy some food while surrounded by nature. Lots of parking as well which is nice and wasn't too busy even on a sunny Saturday. Nice selection of different routes too which have smaller walks for younger children. Also you can rent out Segways here which I haven't tried out but looks fun. Highly recommended and I'll be coming back here very soon. Free to park. Our favourite trail is the blue arrow one. Take care lots of trees down. Lovely walks on the fire roads and lots of small and trails that dart off in every direction. Lots of wildlife to see. The trails or shared with cyclists and the parking is FREE. Beautiful with lots of different to go on so can be a quick or a long walk. Lovely place to take your dog to with plenty of parking Good long for dogs, and plenty of trails to follow. Unusual ducks and bird life to spot here, deer, squirrels and toads so far. Beautiful woods. We went on a sunny day and the were clear and dry. There's a little area with picnic benches under some trees which is nice. Unfortunately a few dog owners have left poo bags hanging from trees and strewn on the which is a shame as it ruins an otherwise beautiful stretch of woodland. The parking is ample and it's easy to get to, if slightly off the beaten track. Lovely peaceful on a dry day. Not too hilly. Quiet early on. Just nice to see a change of scenery. Nice and quiet on Solstice eve (Dec). Foot are ok in the dark, but best to have a torch when the light has gone completely. Depends on your night vision My first visit to Cann Woods, though I live nearby. Very pleasant and perfect for a on a hot day when you'd rather in the shade. Another visit in January. It looked very different to when I visited in May. I intend to go again in Spring. Pram and wheelchair friendly. Lots of different walking/ bike routes can be good long day out. Good sized car park. However there can be people riding horses in this area, wild deer, geese and pheasants, segways and can sometimes you can hear shootings from a distance. So if your dog can be spooked or have a high prey drive be vigilant. There is also a dogs and cats rehoming centre opposite so dogs are found to be lead walked around these so please take care. It’s a beautiful with a fairly easy walk, depending on your ability! Used to love this but then they began charging parking and now the whole car park is closed off altogether so that no one can enter anymore. Went there for the first time last week for a with the kids. The scene was lovely, what we saw of it anyway as we spent most of our time looking at the ground to make sure we were not stepping in dog poo. It was everywhere!!! I love dogs and I know there are dog walkers who are good at cleaning up their dogs poo but it just everywhere along the walking paths. We usually go for walks at Plymbridge and Holden Hill and you see the odd dog poo here or there but Cann was just ridiculous. We won't be going back there again and despite trying to avoid the landmines, we still all ended up with dog poo on our walking boots.
