Amazing with an amazing view. Car is free for national trust members. Cafe and toilets available. Mix of sand, stone and pebbles so you'll need something on your feet both in and out of the water. Smallish car park, and a pleasant little bay.. with rocks and rock pools. There are toilets. There is a little cafe but it was closed when we were there after 4:30pm. Great place to visit, especially with a young one. Easy from plymouth and free parking for Trust members. Lovely little beach. Nice cafe and ice cream shop. Definitely worth a view. The along the coast path is also very nice. Car can get very busy during the summer and is provided by the National Trust. Lovely place Great for rock pools, pebble not sand, very little parking. A beautiful with stunning rock features, there is a down from the church as the road to the is closed off for repairs. The is clean even when we went in the middle of a storm and even then it was stunning. People were surfing and enjoying themselves. Highly recommend this beach. Not great disabled access as there are quite steep steps. If you want to access the entire recommend wellies as there’s a river. Cafe is reasonably priced with some lovely treats. Dog friendly beach. Went early evening just before sundown,country lanes to carpark,only stayed 15 minutes to take a few photos as weather wasn't great, beautiful scenery, mid February & was a delight to watch the 2 surfers!. Will definitely venture more next time I go & will take dogs down to the before the end of April before their restricted from the until November. Lovely area to visit great for families to have a relaxing time and a picnic on the or to go on a rock pool ramble. The coastal to Wembury Point and onwards to Heybrook isn't too challenging. Once there you might be tempted to stop at the local pub. Haven't been up to Wembury in years, but it was lovely & quiet today. Got a fab ice cream from the tea shop & sat on the in the sunshine to enjoy it. Good amenities, including public toilets. I’m from California, and seeking out beautiful beaches when I travel is always on my agenda. This is the most uniquely beautiful I’ve ever been to. Horses on the hillside, a historic mill right on the sand, paired with perfect shallow water for a swim. I’ll be dreaming of this spot for years to come! An absolute gem of a spot on the South West Coast Path! We paid £6 for all day parking, planning to to Bovisand along the coast path, but only ended up getting to Heybrook Bay after spending so long at the rockpools! Such a great spot for rockpooling, easy to access if you along past the horses. So much wildlife to see at this time of year - and so many wildflowers along the path. Beautiful! Great little with a great cafe Local visitor ..Great place to bring the dog but sadly only allowed in the winter. When will Devon and Cornwall realize they are excluding potential tourists by restricting dogs on beaches. We went to South Wales a few years ago and dogs were welcome everywhere. Carpark is free to NT members, it gets full in season. Toilets are acceptable. Our local! And splendid, especially if you like scrambling (in a not - very-challenging way) over rocks and boulders. Excellent for an evening dip (at least it was at end of September) Mothercombe is not far and has a longer stretch of sand. There is the church on some high ground overlooking the and an excellent cafe. The Great Mewstone (known to us philistines as Wembury Rock) is an offshore island, now owned by the National Trust and an uninhabited nature reserve, and its hard to think of the without the Mewstone in it. Check the tides for the best time to visit. There is a paid car just above the beach, owned by the NT (free if you're a member). It's a grand beach! Go there! The main is off limits for dogs in the height of summer, but you can just along a bit, to the rockier places where they are free to go. Oh.... check the before sitting down. One day it was covered in jellyfish, but I've never seen them there before! Small but stunning beach. Very busy and difficult to navigate car when full... nowhere nearby to park. Paybyphone or cash parking, £6 for all day. Excellent for paddle boarding, and yummy bacon rolls! Can't wait to go back! The rock-pooling here was incredibly fun and the is beautiful. The marine centre is informational in a fun way and the staff that are around are more than happy to assist you in any way they can! Great beach, looking forward to going in the summer for a swim! Very nice location for paddling, easy drive and very clean. Beautiful location to watch the sunset🌅. If you are going by bus, the stop is not far either! The only 2 downsides of this location is that the car is a bit expensive and the water at the shore is full of seaweed🥲 there are loo facilities on site and a cute cafe! Stunning views and perfect for endless hours of rock pooling at low tide.
